Thank you for your great review. I'm glad you liked the book. It is a very long book. God is very much a part of my life, but the story does sound interesting, but I'm not in the mood for such a long book. Perhaps at a later time. The character development for the main characters does sound very good.

The way the reviewer describes the compelling start and the seamless flow of the story is very enticing. It's evident that the author has a talent for weaving intricate details of scenery and emotion, making the characters come alive on the page.

What stands out to me is how the author tackles the controversial themes of homosexuality and Christianity with sensitivity and depth. It's rare to find a book that bravely delves into such complex issues while promoting an inclusive and non-judgmental message about God's love. The reviewer’s mention of thought-provoking questions adds to my curiosity, making me eager to explore the narrative further.

Despite the critique about excessive background information on minor characters, it's clear that the book’s strengths far outweigh this minor flaw. The reviewer's high rating and recommendation for those seeking faith reaffirm the book's potential impact.

Billy Lymon remains an orphan after the tragic demise of his mother. The author pens Billy's coming-of-age story as he struggles with homosexuality, finding Christ through the quest to heal his soul. The author artfully presents opposing topics in a flowing, engaging manner that will keep readers glued.

The review it seems is a bit uninformative. If as the reviewer said in starting about a murder could be more. It would have spiked my interest. Aside from that I think the review covers major part of the theme of the book and talked with respect about Critical topic such as sexuality and Christianity.

The story offers a message of hope and inspiration, particularly for LGBTQ+ individuals struggling with faith or societal pressures. It demonstrates the possibility of finding a place within a religious framework while remaining true to oneself.

The review explored the book well, thank you. Although the subject is controversial, it’s not as shocking as it would have been, even a couple of decades ago. Homosexuality, Billy’s situation, and his sad family history makes for a compelling plot.

By portraying well-developed and relatable LGBTQ+ characters who find faith and acceptance, the book offers a powerful and empowering message for readers who may have struggled to reconcile their identity with their religious beliefs.

“Hanging Out with the Most High God Books One and Two” by Gordon Bell begins with a story about an elderly evil woman that was barren and decided that she wanted a young black woman’s baby and planned to kill the woman and take the baby. The story switches to Billy Lymon, a foster child that is contemplating suicide until his foster mom tells him the truth about his mother’s death and how he was cut from her womb by the elderly evil woman. Billy’s foster mom had taken in three children over the years when they were age 5 and raised them. Harry went into the Air Force, Lydea was a wild young woman that preferred getting high to working and Billy felt he was a failure that dropped out of college and was struggling with his homosexuality, depression and he was trying to survive on unemployment after losing two jobs over the past six months. Billy finds peace when he started going to church, became a Christian and asked God for forgiveness. This changed his life because God forgave him for his sins, and he realized that God accepted all of His children no matter what their sexuality. Sadly, society is not so forgiving, and hateful crimes dominate our daily news. I have added this book to my to-read list.

The book was well fleshed out and even had to delve into some unnecessary stories as the reviewer pointed out. While the book was good to read, I found it slow paced, and lacking a strong plotline. Also, I feel that the book would be less relatable to non-Christians at a point given the religious inclinations of the story.

"Hanging Out with the Most High God Books One and Two" by Gordon Bell seems like a very interesting story about a man's journey through a very tragic and difficult life. Seems very inspiring this story proving how a person struggling with depression can find a meaning in his life and a purpose to keep moving forward.

It seems that many people today are lacking something. If this sounds like you maybe pick up a copy of, “Hanging Out with the Most High God Books One and Two" by Gordon Bell and see if reading it helps you feel more complete. When an author writes about loneliness & depression and the protagonist feels better as he depends on God, there is an example of what was missing and what is found.
If you're going through hell, keep going.

A thought-provoking memoir that elaborated on homosexuality and Christianity. The Storyline reveals that Irrespective of one's background, one can be used by God in any form. As the reviewer said, I fully suspect that there are characters that shouldn't be played out in the book.

I love books that are comprised of stories that differ in context but have the same message. I just downloaded this book so that I can follow the happenings in these characters lives. Congrats to the author for having the BOTD.
