I got mixed feelings after reading your review. I felt like this book is a boring one and also as a good one, at same time. So, anyway I decided to read and see. Congratulations in being BOTD and thanks for the descriptive review

Great review Thank you for sharing it with us. I too would not like the editing issues that are in this book :snooty: but also would still like to read it because of the great content it has. :techie-studyingbrown: Well developed characters realistic issues surrounding mental illness and addiction makes it sound like a great read. :D

Good review. Apart from the grammatical errors mentioned, the storyline sounds a bit depressing. I probably won't read it.

I enjoy when a writer can make you feel as if you are really there. I liked when you said that you felt as if you were visiting and could find your way to the local pharmacy.

Realism when reading about mental illness can get a little unnerving. Alcoholism and drug addiction added to the mix can become downright scary.

It's nice that the author tells the story in a thought-provoking way, and that he lets people know where they can get help. It's possible that reading Two Sheldon Iowa Summers may actually encourage someone to seek help. Since it is written so accurately, they may realize that they are not alone. Others have been through the same thing.

Thank you for such a detailed review. 💕

I am not interested to read this book due to the numerous grammatical errors, but I will definitely recommend it to people struggling with addiction problems.

Two Sheldon Iowa Summers is not really my kind of book.
De Vries uses plots and character that are too regularly found in most fictional books. The characters are not unique hence the book is not reall intriguing.

Two Sheldon Iowa Summers: by Donald De Vries, deals with very emotional subjects.
The characters are real, as put together on the pages of the book.
Having been through addiction with my son, I see some helpful areas in dealing with addiction, according to the review.
The Review was helpful and sounds like a somewhat educational book.
Thank you

I enjoyed your review much more than the the free sample on Amazon. The grammatical errors as you've stated are numerous, and that for me is enough to pass on this book.

Ohhhh...too bad that this one wasn't editied more closely! Today's BOTD sounds excellent! Vivid descriptions, real-life characters, realistic (yet, tragic) events...what a page-turner! I'm thankful this was free, and I'm looking forward to reading it. Thank you so much for your awesome review! :-)

I was looking forward to reading this book and from your review, I thought I would enjoy it. Growing up in neighboring Nebraska I thought I might be able to relate to the story. And yet, after trying to decider what was going on during the disjointed beginning, I am going to have to pass. Thank you for your review. I’m glad you enjoyed the book. I hope many others will as well.

The story does sound good. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to pass due to the grammatical errors. That's something I just can't overlook.

Whew, in addition to the love, the quietness, the play, the ascension, the fall, the pain, the craziness, the hope, and the love, I’m yet undecided. It sounds somewhat complex. Best wishes to the author on the #BOTD 👨🌾

A good review which seems to thoroughly describe a good book. Friendships, relationships, passage of time and a view of topics aptly called tough. It seems Mr. De Vries has a couple of good things going for his book. A shame though about the editing. The visions and dreams are not a bad touch.
