I don't like fishing in real life and don't want to read about fish, even if the pike have taken on a more piranha-like nature. Thanks for the review, but I'll be passing on this one.

The phenomenon of northern pike and its narration sounds quite interesting.

Thanks for the great review. I enjoyed the sample and I could hear the older men snickering. I'm curious to know what caused the fish to change and if it was permanent and how they got all of them out of the water. I guess I'll have to add it to my list of books to read some time to get my answers.

Although this is a very good review , marine life and fishing are not interesting to me to want to read about. I’m going to pass but congrats on the BOTD!!

Not exactly something I'd think of for a story but it does sound interesting. Your review is excellent.

An older generation sharing history close to their hearts to the next generation. The intrigue plus the banter between lifelong friends make this a great book. Thank you for a wonderful review.

Although The Northern Pike Story by Thomas Ashmore isn’t quite my style of book I can see how it could appeal to readers who enjoy stories built around the Northern Pike. It’s great that the book is perfectly edited. Thanks for a nice review!

Wow, fish evolving to becoming man-eaters sounds really terrifying – I like that it considers environmental issues too. Thanks for the review.

A mystery surrounding fish that attacks people is definitely interesting, but not for me. Thank you for the review.

This sounds like an engaging and thought-provoking book that really makes the reader think about human nature and how our actions can impact wildlife and have such devastating consequences. I'm glad that there are instances of humor to make the book more fun rather than have a dry textbook type of story. Great review!

I can imagine fish attacking people. It's scary. The book serves a purpose in fictionalising the story to convey the message of protecting our environment from destruction. The language used is easier making it enjoyable to read.

The cover is creepy and made me immediately drawn to the book. Your summary did not disappoint. I am already terrified of lake-swimming. This book may ruin me for life... I need it!

'Official Review: The Northern Pike Story' by Thomas Ashmore has a great introduction! It is a sublime description related to the mystery about fish and evolution! I like the way the reviewer relates the book to larger issues! The point that the book makes us wonder what we are doing to our wildlife is worth mentioning in the review! Nice to learn that the story is so interesting that the reviewer had a hard time putting the book down!
