This #BOTD is somewhat educational, but all the information of what the uncle seems to border on sexual abuse. I believe that what he did is consider lewd molestation of a child, since he had her watch him perform a sex act.
Good review!

This piece uncovers one of the common yet undiscussed issues in our society today. This is an eye opener and a very interesting piece. I love this review and hope to read this book soon.

This book seems to be a short novel, which deals with a controversial topic, such as sex in children. It piqued my interest to know what happens after the girl's event with her cousin, does she tell? What does the family do? . Thank you for sharing this informative review.

Thanks for the great review. I sat here and read the whole book since it was short. While I see and agree with you that I would have liked to know what happened next, I was very grateful for the prayer that Liz said at the end. She is a very strong and smart girl. She did keep her promise. I just hope her parents someday realize how courageous and smart she is.

Hmm.. the first few lines got me thinking about Cinderella. I don't think I'll be reading this book anytime soon at least till I have enough time to. But the review was great.

I like to read the review before reading the book. When I began your review I thought this was going to be a nice book for children. I was wrong. Child abuse is a serious subject that every parent needs to address. Based on your review, I believe the author does a good job in addressing the issue.

I have read books similar to this fictional novella. The story keeps your interest but seems to end abruptly. One wonders if there will be a sequel or if the author just wants the reader to imagine how the characters continued on in life. Thanks for your interesting insights about this story. Great writing!

Every religious family makes it difficult to teach sex education to their children. In my opinion, sex education is a basic need for every teenager and young person

This was an excellent review! It was short but informative. However, I don't think this book is my cup of tea as it might have many sex scene. Thank you for the review!

This book really tackles on a tough subject. I hope Lizzy can get out of that situation safely and unharmed. I'm glad you enjoyed the book overall despite the unexpected ending. Great review!

A very short book about coming of age. Interesting material based on the review. Should make for a light read.

When I read that it's a novella, I was up for reading it regardless of the plot. 32 pages is very little to read. But then I read about the plotline and I'm wondering if I'm up for reading something so intense. I also wonder how the author managed to put so much in just 32 pages.

Interesting book shows how much the parental guidance over teenage children are important. Teaching sex education or whatever isn't easy but parents mostly do the wrong ways.

This is a well thought out review. I find it mind boggling to learn of the things this family believed and taught. Congrats on the BOTD
