I like that this novel starts off on a slow pace paying attention to characterization development. It makes it more worthwhile to read since the readers will better understand their actions and motivations. Thanks for your review.

Sounds like a lot of everyday stuff, an innocent joke for one is a painful insult for another. It seems like a very interesting book.

Socio-political issues are always something I face head-on because a lot of them are absurd. The BOTD promises to point out reflection on such issues with well-developed characters. I look forward to reading this story to see how the author addresses each controversy. Good review.

This sounds like a relevant read. I usually prefer fast-paced stories, but the review has left me wondering what Ian's costume looks like that cause hullabaloo. The book's contents about political correctness and promote social awareness are definitely thought-provoking. Great review!

According to the sample and the intriguing review, this book appears to wrap some heavy issues in lighter, satirical narrative. I must admit I am definitely wondering what type of costume could cause a large enough controversy to involve the University president .

The book's title is funny to me but I am not a fan of the book's genre so I will pass this. Congratulations on being the BOTD.

Troy and his friends has a lot going on with them for that one night. I like the subjects treated in the book, and I see myself reading it. Congratulations to the author on winning book of the day.

This well-written satire seems like it is perfectly written in taking a thought-provoking look at political, social, and racial perceptions through a higher education setting. Great review!

Troy and Ian's story is indeed a whole lot of Hullaballoo. I like the author's pace of writing the book, but I am not a fan of the plot of the book. Congratulations on BOTD!

The story is incredibly captivating. The characters have depth and are humorous. These descriptions are excellent. The novel's plot is really good. Without a sure, college students will adore this book. The story's flow didn't appear rushed or too slow. You should go without thinking twice because it's a great story. Thanks for the review and Congrats to the author on BOTD.

I really enjoyed reading the colorful, precise, and with clarity descriptions that the author painted of each character. These various characterizations made me feel as though I knew Sam, the college President and his secretary Jane. It felt as though I was actually in the office with them. These "in the moment" feelings repeated themselves as I continued to read the book. I also believe that the authors use of the word "Hullabaloo" in the title created intrigue. After working in Higher Education for more than fifteen years, I felt totally connected to Fried's literary work. Congratulations for the BOTD honor.

The idea of a simple costume causing 'a whole lot of hullabaloo' is astounding and yet it is a reality we live in today. This sounds like an amazing book, with the slow-burn pacing and a whole lot of buildup. Thanks for the great review.

While I generally love character-driven stories, especially ones that build backstories, it seems that the conflict isn't that intriguing. I will pass on this one, but thanks for the detailed review.
