I have never been quite into short stories, but your review intrigues me! I love how you listed all the stories and then also found different themes within those, which gives us, the potential readers, a great insight into the highlights of the book. I can honestly say that because of your review I will add it to my "to read" list. Thanks for a perfect review!

I have another one of the author's books on my list to read, and this aspect of his writing drew me in. This collection sounds like a lot of fun, with some thinking involved as well. I look forward to reading these varied stories. Thank you for your thorough review, and congrats on BOTD.

Would like to read more about: Toby's goal to marry Brandi and his bird's shocking fate, Sally and try to figure her out, then the doughnut in a pandemic. The thought of travelling with the narrator and his wife back in time is not a bad idea, getting to the vibe of the Tallyman sounds intriguing too, then read about the heroic pimp. Thanks for the wonderful review, it has really captured me. :tiphat:

Fact Check and More Probing Tales by James Hanna seems to cover a lot of topics, starting with individual life struggles and parenting, even though it's a short story of each. The story of Toby interests me as his father got him exposed by taking him to Michigan City, where he had his sexual experience and met a prostitute named Brandi, whom he fell in love with. I would love to know how his story unravels and what his fate was.

'Official Review: Fat Check and More Probing Tales' by James Hanna serves as a good background to the anthology of short stories for avid readers. It provides the readers with complete information about the book. The point that the author explores the various facets of modern life in his book is worth mentioning in the review. Also, the point that his experiences in Australia and his long career in Criminal Justice makes his stories rich and relatable, as mentioned in the review, is remarkable for readers. Nice to learn that the book is an enthralling collection of short stories!

The element of humor in these short stories seems to have beautifully intertwined, and the misadventures of Toby for achieving his bride seem intriguingly interesting.

This book contains a collection of short stories with a touch of humor in it. The first parts sound like modern retelling of romantic comedies that are full of misadventures along the way. I'm looking forward to reading more funny stories in this book. Congratulations on the BOTD.

Thank you for the review. I love collections of short stories, especially those like these. Quirky, thought-provoking, but always entertaining! It seems that this is not the first collection from this author. A must-read selection and a search for his other books is recommended!
