Hmm - I love the character focus, but really don't care for the genre. I think I'll have to skip this one. Thank you, though, for an excellent review!

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting story following an economist turned university president, her marriage and her dealing with her personal demons. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

The storyline intrigued me. The character of CJ seems interesting. The emotional turmoil which CJ faces due to infidelity and how she copes up with it is which I am looking forward to reading. Congrats on BOTD!

Though this book sounds well written and the characters well defined, it doesn’t sound interesting to me. Too close to real life and not much action. I’m sure it’s good read for some.

I am sure the deep, dark secrets of college administration would be fascinating.

Choices, secrets, professional integrity, infidelity, demons, and the pitfalls of marriage. Sounds like the author did a lovely job of weaving all of these themes together in an academically-accurate way!

Official Review: The Assignment by Don Chance well describes the superior plot of the story! It enables me to identify with the situation of the protagonist who is trying to maintain a balance between her personal life and professional life. Every word of the review is clear and effective! The point that the book uncovers the administrative side of university life is enlightening for readers!

Sounds like an interesting story. Doesnt sound like CJ and her husband will reconcile but I guess I have to read it to find out. The act of betrayal between husband and student will make for interesting drama. Congratulations on BOTD.

This is a character-driven book about choices, secrets, and professional integrity. The book highlights challenges of balancing career and personal life. I can't wait to find out if CJ managed to get her marriage out of a rut and maintain her high flying career. I really enjoyed your review. Great job.

A character driven work would really not appeal to me. So I'll pass this one. Thanks for the great review

Sounds like this would be a good book for any ladies who are struggling with their own marriages. A good example of sometimes no matter how successful you may be, or what lengths you may go to, everyone has problems.

I'm okay with character-driven stories. I find CJ's character interesting. I'd like to know how CJ handled the ethical dilema. Awesome review.
