Poetry is difficult to rate for not only personal preference, but also because there is no right or wrong in punctuation. I like short poems and have added this book to my reading list. Great review!

This book seems to be inspiring. It really sets out to be a series of poems that any reader will connect with. It's interesting that these poems handle issues of social concern. Thank you for your review.

This book presents hard life in beautiful poems. Rock solid truth which hits hard, but is wrapped in cotton so it has deep impact. This is awsome. I would love to read this book.

I don't usually read poetry but Short Poems, Long Tales by Rashid Osmani seems something different. Since the poems are short, I would like to pick this book up to read poems on varied topics. Congrats on BOTD!

Excellent review and thank you for the recommendations. I do agree that when you're young you don't think you'll get old. Also, I can relate to the dry humor as that's my daughter's sense of humor.

In this book, "Long Poems, Short Tales" by Rashid Osmani provides the reader with variety of topics to reflect with. One topic I like was about afterlife, when he says that we don't even know if we'll have it (afterlife).

It sounds a little bitter on some topics, but i think it justifies what the author wants to say regarding the subject. I am not a fan of poetry but i like the way he wrote it. It's like a diary of thoughts assembled as poems.

I will give this book, by my review of its sampling a 2 out of 4 stars, maybe if i could read the entire book, i can review this and update my rating.

Recommended for those who want to have a quick read, but emotion stirring people.

I agree with the author's statement that poetry books are generally ignored unless the author is well known. I like the way that the author described poems -- which he says is focused on the feelings they brought about upon the readers. I congratulate the author for BOTD!

I do enjoy poetry sometimes, and I do also like the fact that they have covered a huge range of topics. Still, I wonder if there might be some inevitable lack of organisation as a result, which causes emotional whiplash. Thanks for the review.

With 101 short poems on various subjects, it sounds like this would be an excellent way for a reader to get initiated into the world of poetry.

From a sampling, this seems like an interesting collection of poems covering a range of topics such as family, loss and death. It might be worth a second look. Well done.

I don't really like poetry, so I will pass on this book. Your review is well written and compelling, though. Thank you for reviewing, and congratulations on Book of the Day!
