This looks like a book that involves a lot of mystery in its plot. I'm intrigued to know the motives behind Justin's kidnapping and if he makes it back to his family. Thanks for this interesting review, it's good to know that it goes beyond the baseball aspects, and that it also leaves life lessons. It's certainly a book that I'm interested in reading.

Thank you for sharing your reviews with us. This storyline does not sound like something I would enjoy, so I think I will pass on this one for now.

An action packed novel with an intriguing twist is surely a good read. The review is exhaustive and interesting. It makes me curious to read the book, despite the fact that I am not a sports fan. The central premise of the book revolves around baseball and spins an action-packed thriller around it. Thank you for the interesting review.

Never been a huge sports fan, but since the book is mostly focused on Major League baseball players lives, I’ll give it a shot. Thanks for your review.

Gilded Prisons by Linda Gould is a deeply touching story based on Justin, a great baseball player who loves his wife, April and his two daughters.

Justin is kidnapped in a clubhouse getaway similar to what happened 7 years ago to Manny, a known baseball player, too.

The kidnap story of these two is very similar. Its heart wrenching to Justin's family and scary to him. Why does Maria act kind to him as he is driven far away from his loved ones? Is Guadalupe insane or is she on a politically motivated path of revenge?

So many what ifs spin around my mind as I read the review. I love the story around sports players, their fitness drills, beautiful bodies.

I would recommend this book for readers who love sports, are driven by intrigue and adventure.

To me I would love to read such book since it has a very interesting moral lessons, right from not being a baseball players. The book itself is written to specific age which is good and has great impact to us as adults.

It is absolutely true that we can only control what we can control. The book sounds thought-provoking and absorbing if it contains such basic truths of life. Thanks for the review.

A mysterious kidnapping sounds very intriguing. I am looking forward to finding out why Justin was kidnapped as he is just a baseball player. Congrats on BOTD.
