It really sounds like the themes of family bonds, love, and perseverance come in droves with Nick's fight to keep Curby in his life.

I think Nick would have gotten proof of ownership immediately after he decided he wants to adopt Curby. It is so sad to know the death of Sandra was the beginning of these problems. I love the book cover of this book. Nice review. Congratulations on BOTD.

The review is as factual and intrguing. Facts of life like trying to help but got caught in a quagmire. Was it really worth it and did he eventually win custody of that abandoned child? The plot revolves around pity and love. Yet, the fast paced society of confusing law enforcement --- right to life or right to custody --- plus disgusting drugs and crime tandem, made the reviewer describe it as ''lack of emotion."
Well, its still a beautiful life to find a caring surrogate Dad inspite all odds.

Curby
Such a disappointing account of a newborn baby abandoned at birth. I shed a tear. 4 out of 4
Congratulations on being BOTD

I can relate the happiness that will overwhelm Sandra when she discovered that she will have the opportunity to be a mother before she died. Nice review!

I found your review very helpful. I do not like a story with so little emotion. Even though you make it sound otherwise interesting, I will pass on this one. Thank you

This is a beautiful and heartwarming book that shows different aspects of life, ranging from love and family to murder and so much more. It is a well-written and touching story that captures you the instant you pick it up.

The adage that the person who raises you is more of a parent than the person who brought you into this world is accurate. Although Nick and Curby's lives are not typically related, they share a more than admirable friendship.

Nice review. It’s just unfortunate that Sandra died too early, and that, she did not live to nurture Curby. This should be very hard on Nick.

A compelling story about a man's quest in seeking custody for a child left on the street.

I'm heavily invested in this story because Nick took in Curby with pure intentions. This sounds like an exceptional read that's about love. Congrats to the author for having the BOTD.

The book seems to look into teenage pregnancy, adoption, and child custody, and then gives them a spin in this concise story. Congratulations on Book of the Day!

What and excellent review, well done. This sounds like a very captivating story and something different for me for a change. I really want to see if Nick manages to win the court case and keep Curby.

I'm really empathetic for Nick who was fighting a court case to keep Curvy and also lost Sandra. I just hope he doesn't lose all at the end of the day. I love the review. Congratulations on BOTD
