I can handle some crude humor but this sounds like it's packed. This book might not be for me.

I found after reading the preview and your review that anyone 60+ would be able to relate to Pomeroy. James Hanna has done a great job with this story. Excellent job on your review.

A very honest review I must admit as you mentioned that despite the protagonist being sexist you couldn't help yourself from liking him.

Pomeroy, a comical character as described in this review must make a book interesting to read. Am sure he had great self esteem. Great review.

Sounds funny and enjoyable! I wouldn't like the language, though. Congrats on the honest review.

An unreliable narrator always makes for a riveting read. Your review also makes it clear that humor is a strong point of this book.

Thank you for a good review, you've certainly piqued my interest! I'm not put off by strong or slang language, a bit more by a possibly sexist character but Pomeroy sounds so colourful and unique that I will give this book a try. It's on my 'to read' list now, thanks!

This book seems like an entertaining story. A man who came out of Jail and appearing to be a brute man is somewhat has a comedian character.
