This is a fantastic review! You hit all of the major points that I am looking for when scouring reviews. As if the synopsis wasn't interesting enough, you've convinced me that I need to read this book. I can't imagine the level of desperation one would need to feel to make the decisions that the mother made, feeling that she was doing what was best for her babies.

I like character-driven plots! This seems to encompass a whole lot of heavy themes but your review makes it sound like something worth reading! I agree though that naming characters appearing only once is unnecessary and just confuses readers. Thanks for the review!
