Rather than allowing the characters to interact and letting me infer the motivations behind their actions, the author explains them to me.
Ugh! It's so annoying doesn't give you credit to figure some things out! I have mixed feelings about this book - even without the errors! Thanks for the great review!

It seems the main character is aptly named. He is confused and tries to unconfuse himself. Unfortunately, he confuses the reader. But the author remedies that.

Now I'm confused. LOL!

Oh, no. The premise of this book is so promising! I am sad to see that the author didn't deliver. Thanks for the great review!

It does sound like a unique story, but not for me... Shame about the editing; it really does make a difference in the readers experience! Thank you for your thorough and informative review. It is very well written!

I'll have to skip this one because of the inconsistent writing style. Thanks for the thorough review!

Thanks for commenting! I actually am glad I read it as I enjoyed it, but there were too many problems for it to get a good rating, unfortunately.

For the most part, I really enjoyed the story and was eager to keep reading it. I found myself caring about what happened to Eddy and excited about his philosophical breakthroughs. The only other quibble I have about the book is that at times it goes too far in clarifying things to me as the reader. Rather than allowing the characters to interact and letting me infer the motivations behind their actions, the author explains them to me. At the end of the book, the meanings of Eddy’s dreams and discoveries are directly spelled out, which denies the reader the opportunity to continue pondering the book after finishing it.
It's such a shame the author pretty much takes away the reader's chance to have a perspective on the occurrences. I'm sure the intention was to assist the reader get the right message from the narrative. Unfortunately, this 'spoon-feeding' does take away from the experience.
This is quite a unique observation, and I'm glad I have read your review.

I easily understood why you rated the book with 2 stars. I don't like books where the storyline and characters seems boring at some point. Your review were very detailed and informative too. Thank you for the wonderful review.
