I don't think I've ever read something similar to this. I like that the plot is unique and the book is well-written too. Too bad the ending wasn't fully fleshed out, it seems like the book deserved that! Thanks for a great review.

Preparedness is a great thing. The concept of dividing the book in two parts is brilliant (if properly done). Your review made me want to read this book. Exceptionally well done, Prisallen. :tiphat:
Heart! We will forget him!
You an I, tonight!
You may forget the warmth he gave,
I will forget the light.

When you have done, pray tell me
That I my thoughts may dim;
Haste! lest while you're lagging.
I may remember him!

No vampires or ghosts, but it is scary. :lol: Thanks for stopping by and commenting!

I like that the characters seem very realistically human, and also that the second part was narrated from the perspective of one who was removed from the previous happenings. Sounds quite intriguing.
It was! I hope you get a chance to read it. Thanks for stopping by!

This book has a great deal of appeal. I like how the author sets up the story in the first section using real cartels and believable tragedies for the characters. The work of the psychiatrist would also be intriguing. I am also impressed by your high rating of the book. Everything about this book looks good. Thanks for the recommendation!

I felt sorry for what happened to Artie . Its Horrible to find oneself in the hands of a drug cartel who is likely to be psychopath. I'm glad that thepsychiatrist was willing to help out. This is a book I would enjoy to read. Thanks for this enjoyable review.
