I liked the banter between two friends it shows familiarity. I'm not a sci-fi reader but you summarized the story very well. It is appealing. Great review.

Nature is changing all the time, but human interference causes consequences no one thought of. I like the way the characters interact while telling the story. It's like sitting on the porch with a relative. Great review.

This seems like an interesting fictional story written in the first person. The story revolves around two locals that relay a story about the Northern pike and why the boys will not be able to catch any in Lake Moraine. In a non-confrontational way it encourages the reader to contemplate on the possibilities of evolutionary damage caused when the environmental is changed dramatically by man-made means.

Interesting topic for a book, I appreciate your thoroughness in summarising it. Was there no gripe at all? I'm always cautious with '4 out of 4 stars' scores, as it essentially means a book is perfect. I try to reserve those for maybe a couple of books in a lifetime. Still, quite an enjoyable review that certainly piqued my interest!

Sounds interesting to read. Thanks for the thorough review. I'm not a fan of any fish story, but when you said it turns into a monster, I think it got my interest.

I think this book will serve as a good reminder to protect and preserve nature. The author has creatively addressed the issue of environmental protection with the help of the characters of Tom and Joseph.

Thanks for your review. The concept of Lake Moraine and its mutant pike fishes sounds pretty interesting. It addresses the sensitive topic of pollution and the consequences of mankind's doings to nature.

This is an interesting mystery campfire story about fish, evolution, northern pikes, and a captivating plot injected sporadically with humor. The book has a free sample on Amazon Kindle and has a well-written OnlineBookClub review. Congrats @ThomasAshmore on the BOTD selection.

Nice job in bringing up interesting questions to ponder. Any fictional work that can provoke thoughts and/or questions that could apply to real life, is always interesting.

"The Northern Pike Story" by Thomas Ashmore - A story to make your blood run cold, a Northern pike species of fish turned man-eaters. Called a phenomenon by locals at Lake Moraine in New York, the story is told by Tom and Joe to 3 college boys. A different kind of education to the one they or their parents were paying for. Wonderful review. Thanks.

A nice mystery about fish and evolution can be found in the book "The Northern Pike Story" by Thomas Ashmore. The book is about a man-made lake in New York where a man eating fish called Northern pike fish used to live. The book appears quite interesting to me.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

This story seems not only to tell about the northern pike fish. There are issues related to deciding between commerce and people's safety. In addition, the mentions about the evolution of some aquatic species and the damage we humans are causing to the environment are interesting.
