This is an exceptional book from Dennis N. Lorenz. Dr. Join, the protagonist in this novel plays a vital role in ensuring environmental safety. He investigates several things which causes environmental pollution and someday he noticed a mysterious beast around his town. What did he do concerning this?
I recommend this novel to everyone. Congrats on BOTD!

I enjoy books that can highlight environmental concerns while weaving a mysterious and gripping story. I’m intrigued by the beast and wonder if the chemical dumping has created something more sinister. Well done on #BOTD!

I am happy to see a book on environmental issues. Northern Umbrage: Pulp, Paper, Power, and Pollution, written by Dennis Lorenz will, hopefully, make readers aware of how serious pollution is to our health and that we are all responsible for reducing it.

Thanks for another thoughtful review. The book sounds interesting, with a timely environmental theme and multi-dimensional characters. I want to know more about the Native American activist Glen Power Claw! It's a nice bonus that there is a mix of sci-fi, mystery, and adventure, in addition to the enviromental aspect.

Dennis Lorenz's "Northern Umbrage: Pulp, Paper, Power, and Pollution" impressively weaves environmental awareness into a gripping plot, skillfully combining sci-fi, adventure, and mystery. The nuanced characters, particularly Sadie and Glen Power Claw, enhance the narrative, while the suspenseful revelations about pollution's consequences keep readers engaged. A professionally edited, error-free read that earns a solid 4 out of 4 stars. Highly recommended for fans of action, mystery thrillers with a hint of sci-fi.

The mixture of several genres really promkse to make the book a very believable tale. The pollution part is eye-opening. Bucs might be the multidimensional character who might stand out after finishing the book.

I don't tend to gravitate towards stories about the environment, but the mention of sci-fi elements has my interest piqued. And the mention of The Beast makes it all the more exciting!

Despite being one of the most critical issues, just a fraction of the human population takes measures to address pollution. It's interesting how the author weaves in environmental awareness with elements of mystery, suspense, and sci-fi.

Hopefully, this unique approach will pique readers' interest from various genres and help raise awareness.

Mixing sci-fantasy and environmental awareness seems great.Environmental problems have surged rapidly in these recent years and we really need to get back on track. This seems like a really good book discussing all about it.

Additionally, the plot is well-woven and gripping. Lorenz manages to mix sci-fi elements, adventure, mystery, and environmental awareness in a single story, and it gets done skillfully. Moreover, the author did a great job of keeping up the suspense.
The nuanced characters are also a noteworthy positive aspect; there are several well-developed and multidimensional characters.
Now, this review hit pretty much every note it possibly could to get me interested in this book. There are a great amount of elements to this story (i.e humans being humans, environmental issues and their effects, big corporations doing damage, helping “the little guy”) that remind me of the film, “Dark Waters” (which I really enjoyed). Plus, some romance sprinkled in as well? Count me in! Congrats on BOTD!

More and more books come around about the imminent environmental catastrophe we are facing...when will we ever learn? I especially liked the premise of a Native-American environmental activist. Maybe looking towards other less individualistic cultures might help us. Thank you for your review.
