"Running Between Trees" by Gogo C. Okeke features two topics I find fascinating: culture clashes and neurodivergence. And I appreciate a little humor and learning more about Nigerian culture. Thank you for your review.

Running Between Trees by Gogo C. Okeke is a moving account of Samira's journey between the United States and Nigeria. Her stories on cultural differences, family relationships, and autism awareness are thought-provoking and realistic.

Running Between Trees by Gogo C. Okeke is a heartfelt exploration of identity, love, and cultural belonging. The story follows Samira, a young woman torn between her dreams in America and the pull of her roots in Nigeria. Okeke's writing is deeply emotional, immersing readers in Samira's internal struggles and the complexities of navigating two worlds.

The book is rich with cultural nuances and relatable themes, making it a powerful read for anyone grappling with the challenges of balancing personal ambition and familial expectations. It’s a beautifully written debut, filled with depth and authenticity, and leaves readers reflecting on what truly defines home.

I'm moved by how this book is able to unite two different people through the act of storytelling, whereas it portrays a lifestyle based in America, there is also an infusion of a typical African story.

I always enjoy Nigerian authors and I believe Gogo C. Okeke has done a good job depicting the life Nigerians live in diaspora. I also like that it touches on topics such as autism. Running Between Trees sounds like a great read!

"Running between trees" by Yvette Anih, a book that features a psychologist and autism, and the country of Nigeria. It will be great to read about the main character, Samira.

The story definitely sounds captivating, and it is good to learn that the author did not shy away from employing some popular Nigerian words in the book; I always like listening to most of the West African dialects and I am certain that this will prove to be one of the things I will like in and about the book. However, what I like the most is that the book touches on autism, as this is one of the health conditions that can often be overlooked.
Thanks for the informative review.

Sometimes it is difficult to realize that conditions such as autism are prevalent in other countries because we only hear about them here. It is also nice to be able to see some of the traditions and culture of Nigerian.

A fictional novel that explores career paths, relationships, culture and family roots, "Running Between Trees" by Gogo C. Okeke remains captivating till the end. Follow the story of Samira as she navigates through her choices to find her way back to her career, relationship with Midowa and home.

Sorry to point this out, but why am I reading two different names as the author of this story? Is Yvette Anih a pen name?

Samira’s thoughts on her career and relationship with Midowa were uncertain until she had to go back to Nigeria for a program about autism. I can only imagine how it all went when she returned to Nigeria. great review.

The book sounds interesting and touches pretty relatable topics nowadays such as pursuing a career, long-distance relationships, autism, country similarities and differences, and family relationships. I will definitely give the book a try. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!
