It actually will be available for subscription via kindle store in the next few days. If you check the kindle store on Saturday it should be there. I can let you know via this thread when its up. You can read the back issues on their website however.

I actually have a few book reviews being published in this months edition.

They have some wonderful writers that contribute short stories each month.

I am absolutely thrilled. My first publication.

I have a Nookcolor and my husband has the original Nook (my hand-me-down). Hope you like the Kindle as much as I like my Nook.

I don't know what a "nook" is, but it sounds cool. I like the Kindle, but a part of me likes the tactile feel of a book, just old-fashioned I suppose.

Anyway, I have the site bookmarked, it looks great.

I love Roald Dahl's short stories, he's got a really unique sense of humour and the ending of the books are always so unexpected - even when I reread some of his stories later on, I'm still surprised at the endings

Smoke Ghosts & Other Outré Tales (Kindle, Amazon) is an amazing new short story collection. The author has been compared to Kerouac, Joyce, Dostoevsky, and even some to Burroughs.

I also like reading Gabriel Garcia Marquez's Collected Short Stories.

Try Katheryn Mansfield..Bliss and other stories...she's dead so it's easy to get her collected short stories.!
Also, Guy de Maupassant's quite famous...
And I love P.G. Wodehouse's Jeeves..stories.

Every so often when I want a short story fix, I dig out my Ruth Rendell Collected Stories omnibus. There are 27 crime stories under three headings The Fallen Curtain, Means Of Evil and The Fever Tree and include Inspector Wexford’s psychological murder mysteries.

Rendell has written a lot of other thrillers but her characterisations, plot, sense of place and timing all come under the banner of excellent. Most were written over 30 years ago (no gadgetry!) and Rendell is now in her eighties. She's said to be good friends with PD James; although they are similar authors, I'd prefer to read Rendell.
