Today's Book of the Day will appeal to "adults who enjoy reading about Major League baseball, deceit, and mystery." it's commendable that the "author has developed each character beautifully." Congratulations on the BOTD!

This is an excellent book that baseball players would love! Based on the sample, I think readers who like political thrillers may like it too. Because I do not fall into either category, I will be skipping this title. Thanks for the review though! :)

This sounds like an action packed, romantic novel full of intrigues. Good to know it's not all about baseball even though the characters are baseball players. It certainly will make an interesting read. Thanks for the great review.

I love Linda Gould's writing style on this. I admire how the writing style is not just about the sport alone but about the character. I will love to read this book. Nice Review.

Linda Gould’s Gilded Prison is quite the book. Personally, books based on sports stars and their flashy lives rarely interest me, but this book spooked my interest. Gould writes precisely. Her sentences are concise and accurately deliver the tone of the events in the book. The suspense is palpable. I wonder what happens to Justin. Is Guadalupe Ramirez behind this kidnap? I hope Harper Adams finds love later in the book. Definitely a must read.

The book is full of romance with a touch of politics and mystery .This should be interesting. I'll like to find out if the assumption about the abduction is true. Great review

Reading this review, I can tell that I already want to read this book. I love thrillers and fierce female characters and I think Guadalupe is definitely that! Also I love the themes of politics and the connection between the two countries. This was a good review. Great job.

What's baseball got to do with the story? And why is Guadalupe fixated with Major League ballplayers? That cover seems to say romance as well. The Cuban angle adds drama. I am totally intrigued.

The story is interesting as it contains many actions like sports, adult fiction which is majorly highlighting Major League baseball, kidnapping, deceit and lies, crime, love feelings and adultery.

If this was about sports alone, I would have turned away. But I see action, romance, and crime—elements I usually look out for in books. I love this one.

It is a wonderful story, knowing that I do not like baseball, but there are many details mentioned in the story that are not important, but it is a wonderful book in terms of the beginning and the interplay of the story
