After reading your review and then the sample, I am keen to finish the rest of the book. This is somewhat surprising for me, as I don’t normally read this genre. I find the family dynamic to be interesting, with June and her spiritual/psychic abilities adding a whole new dimension to the story. Thanks for your review!

I read a sample of this book and can concur with the review that covers that portion of the book. With that said, and having read the rest of your review, I look forward to finishing the story. Part of the appeal is the way the author descriptively draws you into the book’s 1950s setting.

intelligent review, the book is truly all about acceptance and reconciliation and the world of mysticism. A book for the young and older readers.lets people know the different between been a witch and having psychic abilities.

I'm looking forward to reading this book. I love historical fiction and powerful mother-daughter stories. Also, I would connect to a character who openly expresses her views and never pays attention to what people say about her, as you did. Great review! Thanks.

Hi Naval,

Thank you for your insightful review. I was especially grateful for how you highlighted the struggles she encountered with her family, school mates and teachers; and the mentors that help her nurture her psychic abilities.

I have not read the book, but from your review, I will be most interested in reading how the love between June and her sisters helps them go through challenging situations in the book. My two sisters and I are extremely close, so I'll definitely be able really relate with her in that area. :D

Thanks again!

Hello! You've written such a good review on the book, but I was just wondering why you gave it 3 out of 4 stars. Were there ungrammatical sentences? Or perhaps, the story isn't that good to receive 4 stars? I'm contemplating whether to read it or not. It has quite the unusual plot, doesn't it?

This book really delves into important themes such as gender inequality. I like that the characters grow and develop and June definitely sounds like a modern woman stuck in the past and I really already feel like I can connect and relate to her. Great review!

Inequality in the 50's and kind of a rebel kid makes me look forward to know what happens to June. Another great free book. Thanks and congrats.

Thank you for a very precise review of The Skye in June Naval. Catholism and special psychic powers is my cup of book genre. I wonder what does Skye represents on the title. :eusa-think: It makes what to read it now. :techie-studyinggray:

Thanks for the interesting review of this book. The author does a good job piquing my interest in the book, and you help keep this true. June's story sounds engaging and interesting. While I personally would have probably preferred the story being told in first person, I'm hoping that I will still enjoy this book regardless.
