The way to enlightenment could be from trying out a bed at a bed shop, and a transformational journey of spiritual life begins. And this seems to be a new idea as the protagonist of this story experiences unusual enlightenment.

People undergo lots of experiences the rest of us may not understand. Could be madness or a real perspective altering experience. Only God knows what people see with their eyes. A church is a cool place to share experience and actually be able to convince people. Nice review.

Thank you for the review. I personally am confused on how he got 'enlightenment' from a bed. I like when there are well developed characters, and the fact that it has been edited so well is great, It sounds interesting, but I'll have to pass on this one.

I'm not really into it... I love that he's trying to uplift everyone but it just makes it for me confusing when the questions started

I don't know how he could have snuck it in! Possibly, I guess! But, I agree, it is a good movie - to have a magic bed to transport you places!

An unusual and somewhat bizarre story that makes you think about personal experience(s) and how it is personally perceived is unique. I have added this book to my reading list. Great review!

On the Steps of St. Dymphna by Tony Rocco is a story of a man who found a whole new path of living and helped people. I think this is more like an inspiring story. Thanks for the free copy.

Sounds like a well-written book. I do love the idea of leaving the mundane in pursuit of a richer life experience. Thanks for a great review.

This genre is really new to me, and even though I don't read a lot of fiction nowadays, your review really sells the book. Good job there!

This sounds like an amazing read. I like the fact that it is fast paced. Sounds like a book that would get me thinking about my life and the things that happen in it and how I'd respond to them. The only thing I'd find uncomfortable about the book is the profanity. Otherwise congrats BOTD.

I'm quite fond of absurdist fiction as I (usually) find it both humorous and thought-provoking. John's experience with the 'magic bed' and its aftermath in his life does seem to run true to the genre. I'm not certain (yet) whether he really had a transcendental experience or whether he just lost his marbles, but just based on the sample, I'm leaning toward starting to look around for loose screws! Great review, thanks!

I find the book interesting because of the character of John and his church. I want to read to find out if his conversion is permanent. Nice review.

You were right when you said it was original. I have never heard of being enlightened by a bed. And his mission to make a difference is like you said thought-provoking. This will probably be a great read to get some good insights into philosophy.
