Although not quite my cup of tea, this book sounds like a good choice for readers who like dramatic and suspenseful novels. It’s a plus that this book is also well-edited. Thanks for a great review!

It looks like this story tackles a number of sensitive issues from many different characters' perspectives.
While the story of child abandonment is brutally painful, it's a real problem that communities need to deal with. It's interesting that we're presented with so many points of view and that they all sound authentic. The characterization sounds superb.

I feel so bad for the child that was left behind by her mother. I have heard these stories in real life as well, although I am sure that this one is much more dramatic. I do not think that I would enjoy it all that much, but congrats to the author on BOTD! :)

This book seems to be one that I would not have any problems reading, because I can see myself learning something in the process about "real world" issues. Thank you for the review! I will be adding this book now to my book self.

Regardless of people race and upbringing some tragedy bring them together and make them forget their differences. The child left behind made them come together in order to help. Great review.

Child abandonment, abortion and adoption. This is an interesting story that is told from different viewpoints being first or third person depending on who is doing the talking. Illegal immigrants wanting a better life in the U.S. and aspirations to become a doctor make the story even more meaningful. The official review was right on target. Good book.

I'm wondering what Alicia's first reaction was when she found little Brianna on the restroom floor. My guess is that each of the characters represents a group of individuals in their way of life and thought pattern.

When it comes to writing about all sides of various controversial topics, it's great when an author is largely inspired by real people they have encountered throughout life. Doing so helps avoid strawmen arguments, and adds greatly to the realism of the narrative. I can only hope Alicia and the other caring individuals in the story can help Brianna find happiness out of the tragedy of being abandoned in a random restaurant's bathroom.

I believed Alicia was very shocked on arrival to the bathroom, I would like to know what's was his next move, how did the baby survived, and who took care of her, what's makes Alicia to become your favourite character, I have so many questions unanswered. Thanks for the recommendation it's a must read to me. Great review.
