Certain bonds are stronger than having family ties. Nick developed a strong relationship with Curby and became some sort of father to him. I honestly pray that they let Nick keep him.

Curby is a story of an unusual family bond without the typical blood relations. Sounds genuinely interesting. Congrats on BOTD.

Curby describes an exceptional family bond without the usual blood relations. I also appreciate the love and care Nick showed both to Curby and to his wife who was his primary interest when adopting Curby. I'd love to see how it all ends. Thanks foryourreview!

Seems like an interesting storyline with a couple of twists and turns. It would be interesting to see if Nick was able to keep Curby. Great review.

I know many parents who had to go through such ordeals to adopt their kids legally. It is sad but a necessary thing to do. I would love to explore Nick's struggles about the same.

It is true what is said about the person raising you being more of a parent than the person who brought you into this world. Despite the fact that Nick and Curby's lifestyles are not normally connected, they have an excellent friendship. Congrats on botd!

I have always wondered why someone would abandon a baby at a dumpster. However, it’s soothing to know that some of these babies are saved sometimes. Curby seems to be an interesting story and I would like to read it. Good one from the author. Congratulations on being the book of the day!

The storyline sounds interesting! I wonder if Nick and Sandra planned to adopt Curby legally. When Nick found him in an alley and took him home, did he notify anyone that he had found Curby? Can't wait to read it. Congrats on botd. Great review.

Your review is comprehensive and informative. There are a lot of lessons and insights to draw from this novel, like the health risks of dangerous lifestyles like smoking (as see in the case of Sandra). On the other hand, I commend the author for the exceptional editing done in this book. I would like to read more on how Nick handles his challenges.

This story of Nick, Sandra and Curby is heartbreaking but it's also hopeful because it shows how love for fellow humans makes us better even if they are strangers.
