The author has chosen to portray such a sensitive topic but also a very important one. The scenario Lizzy undergoes probably hits too close to home for too many people, and I just hope that it ends somewhat positively—although I’m not sure if that would be the realistic ending. I’ll have to save this for when I feel emotionally capable of handling such a read, but I will add it to my list. Thank you for the helpful review.

Your review started out as humorousvis-a-vis the sex lesson administered by Lizzy’s parents but quickly got serious when it became apparent that, left on her own, she was about to be exposed to abuse. I hope the book, short as it is, deals with that aspect satisfactorily.

The book sounds captivating, and I am glad the characters were exceptionally well-developed. I wonder how Lizzy will deal with the secret and, thus, I am adding the book to my shelf. Thanks for the review.

What happened to Lizzy is very disturbing. I may not have the guts to read this book. Nonetheless, congrats on BOTD!

The author tackles a difficult theme with the protagonist being a 9-year-old farm girl receiving unwanted sexual advances from her 20-year old cousin. Due to the disturbing subject matter, I'm relieved that the book is short.

This book is a 33-page Novella about Lizzy coming of age. Watching animals having sex is a strange way to introduce a young girl to intercourse education. Watching her 20-year-old cousin Joey masturbate after driving her home should be a crime. Good review but I am not interested in reading the entire novella.

Nice and very well written review, I am now more interested in reading it myself. I just hope there will be some type of justice done in the end for this girl.
