I’m not really looking for a war story right now. However, it would be interesting to see how this work compares to The Things They Carry in their depictions of the Vietnam War. I’m always intrigued by how different pieces of fiction (or autobiographical fiction) depict the same events and how their views on them differ. Thank you for the helpful review.

I like war stories with more information about the soldiers and their lives . The bonds formed between the soldiers in the base and how they stick together always intrigues me. Thank you for an insightful review.

I think this will have interesting info on the aviation part, and what the author end troughs.I also think it will a good momery of history. Unfortunately this book is not for me. congratulations on BOTD .

That is the way the cookie crumbles. War stories , especially the true life ones leave you wondering. I don't like the ugly aspect but I understand the realistic aspect. Great review!
