Thanks for that great review. I definitely want to read this book after reading your synopsis of this book. Seems interesting and I can't wait to find out more about the main characters and the storyline of this book. Growing up in the 60s, I know about society's view of men, women, status, marriage, and relationships. I am looking forward to reading the author's take on the subject of peer pressure.

It sounds like the author tackled the subject matter no-holds-barred which can really be refreshing. Sometimes pulled punches make for a less genuine story. I'm not sure if this one is for me, but your review made me look at it with new perspective. Thank you!

I like character-driven stories and I love that this book addresses the effects of gender expectations on men and that it's a quick read. However, I'm not really in the mood for anything too raw or real right now. I will keep it in mind because I do like these kinds of stories, but it will have to wait. Thank you for the helpful review.

I don’t think I’m interested in this book because of the emphasis on “toxic masculinity” as it were. I’ve had enough of social engineering. This disappoints me because I was initially interested.

As much as I love character-driven narratives, I am not looking to read a book that tackles such heavy topics at the moment. I'll keep it in mind though and read it when I get the time. Thank you for a detailed and well-written review

Thank you for your wonderful review. It's encouraging to note that there are still writers who go for abstinence in unmarried teens. We need more of those.

A bloody football game between two rival high schools starts the story. Brian is playing hurt for two reasons: someone from the other team stepped on his finger, and he has a lover's quarrel with his girl Deanie. The book reminds me of Grease without the music. While football is Greek to me, I could very well relate to young lovers.

I am impressed that a 116-page book can be so effective in sending the messages outlined in the review.

8) I think this is the perfect book for my teen junior sister. sex and peer pressure, abstinence, I'll like to read it too to also know what exact to tell the teens out there, nice review anyways, so sweet to read how a male author described female character, that will be so cool, wow,

This one sounds like it delves deep into the pertinent issues facing adolescents in their transition to adulthood. It minces no words and leaves no stone unturned - just the kind of story to shed light on the harsh realities of peer pressure. Kudos to the author for picking such an important theme. It's too bad that females are portrayed merely as symbols or trophies; however, this is redeemed towards the end by revealing the terrible backlashes this mindset causes to the men that held to them.

A high school narrative with a focus on tackling sexuality, misogyny, and toxic masculinity. It seems like a compelling read. Thanks for your interesting review.

Very informative review. The teenagers of the 60's and their sexual journeys is quite a scoop. It should be a fine read when the characters evolve well. This book seems to have all the characteristics that I would love to go ahead and read. Thanks for the review! Will read this one.
