Strong heart is a "magical blend of science, native mysticism, and the exploration of familial ties." I can't fathom how strange it would be to be dropped off at a relative's place, all this while having never met before. Sarah and Tom started out like that. This beautiful story is well-written, engaging and such a page turner. Too bad about the audible version.

Began reading the sample and was intrigued from the very beginning! I love that the characters develop as the story progresses as that shows the different personalities when put in different situations, especially when it comes to family!

Strong Heart seems to be really interesting and promising book. I think I will skip the audible version of the book and go ahead with reading it. Thank you for a detailed review.

Strong Heart looks to combine science and native mysticism to offer a compelling tale for readers. Congrats on being BOTD.

Charlie Sheldon puts both Sarah and Tom in uncharted territories when Sarah is brought to live with her grandparents who lead a completely different life from the one she's used to, and Tom is given the responsibility of taking care of his young grandchild he hadn't known existed until she was unceremoniously dropped off at his house. How will they adjust to their new situation? What challenges are they bound to face? How will their characters develop from this experience, and how will it affect their lives? I've only read the sample provided under the Book of the Day forum, but I'll download the full book to my Kindle so I can find the answers to all these questions and more!

Familial ties coupled with native mysticism sound like an interesting mix. I look forward to them finding Sara and uncovering the mystery. Congrats on BOTD.

This is a well written summary. Reading this summary and the sample, it sounds like a captivating book. Thanks for the information on the audio book. I find that sometimes the voice of the narrator can take away from the value of a well-written novel. I am interested in Sarah's journey and outcome from this trip with her father, Tom and his friends. Due to your summary, I am considering reading this book.

It can be difficult either audio books. Sometimes you never know what you will get. I abandoned audio books after awhile because even though I liked the story I couldn't deal with the audio portions lacking Affliction. Thos book sounds as though it has a decent plot.

Tom was totally unaware of Sarah's existence until one day she was left on his doorstep just before he had to leave for a trip. He takes Sarah along where she claims to have seen a short faced bear and then disappears. Congratulations on BOTD!

I so much love the plot of this novel, the suspense in how Sarah disappeared is something I’ll like to do. I’ll prefer if I can read a pdf of this book rather the audio.

This sounds like a great book on American Indian culture. I find books built on a plot revolving culture interesting. Great review.

It is so interesting that you found yourself contemplating the character, Sarah, after you had finished the book. That is a real compliment to the author. I have read the sample, and your review gave me a little hint of what is to come. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the story now. Thank you for a great review!
