This book has a very heartbreaking theme. For John to walk out on Doris only to end up marrying Doris's friend is not a very good behavior. I will consider reading "Distorted Days" by Louise Worthington just to learn what caused the marriage breakdown.

I have such a deep appreciation for realistic characters. Humans are flawed and don’t always make sense. I like your example of Doris’ vengeful dreams. It takes a lot of awareness and care to craft characters like that, which makes me want to read more from this author.

I love a good romance novel and this one sounds great and realistic. I have experienced divorce and it isn’t easy, at all. Relatable. Thanks for the review and congrats to the author in BOTD! I’m adding it to my bookshelf.

I can only imagine the depth of Doris's depression after her husband leaves her and she has a miscarriage. She had to be devastated. Thank you for your review.

I can see why this book received such a positive rating. The story of the challenge to overcome yourself to set one's life on right path looks quite tempting to certain readers, but unfortunately, I am not among those who like the Romance books. Still, congrats on BOTD!

This is a fiction, it is said. Louise Worthington has so creatively written this work. I have a nagging feeling that Louise might have a real life story in mind as this was written down. Your review is equally well written. Congratulations on the BOTD!

Wow, this book sounds like it handles some serious emotional issues like infidelity and divorce and presents them through characters that feel human and relatable. I honestly appreciate that the author leaves some questions unanswered, it gives the reader something to think about long after they put it down.

I've never wanted to read a book this badly. As said by the reviewer the author portrayed characters as more human than imaginary and more flawed which is what I like the most about this book.

From the review, I'll totally love this book. So many questions in my mind. Why would a man treat his wife like that? I have to read this book.

When life throws punches at us, our true characters show. This seems to be the case for the characters in this book. This shows the dexterity of the author in creating relatable characters.
