I'm curious to learn more about how Pete and his family survived this trauma.
Thank you for a lovely review.

The book provides great insight into the coping mechanisms and life of people living with PTSD. There are a lot of touchy topics, but I would like to give this book a go.

I have to applaud the author for writing a story about what it's like to live with PTSD. It doesn't just effect soldiers! Although this was an excellent review, I'm going to have to pass on this one as it might be triggering for myself. Hopefully someone else can read this and benefit from it.

This is an interesting contemporary fiction novel highlighting friendship, secrecy, family, trauma, mystery, suspense, action, and adventure. The book is temporarily free on Amazon Kindle and has a masterfully-written OnlineBookClub review. Congrats on the BOTD selection.

There’s a good mystery to this, and it must be awful for a young child to experience the trauma. Anyway, Amazing review!

I like reading psychological novels, so I think this novel would be a good option for me. I'm interested in the way the author describes the consequences of post-traumatic stress disorder and how characters like Pete and his mother deal with them. Thanks for your review!

Not exactly what I usually chose to read, but WOW! The author generously gifting the whole series of three books totally for free and I was raised to accept gifts with gratitude and appreciation, so I will give it a chance. Thanks a lot and congrats with BOTD!

I like the realism of the plot. Pete's mother's depression can almost be felt. I think Jake's humanity is brilliantly described, that is, the understanding he showed for the fate of a ten-year-old boy.

Pete and Jake both sound like emotionally memorable characters, and that Memphis experience must have been some predicament indeed. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and perspectives with us all!
