I like that the book is thought-provoking. That way, readers are invested in the narrative. Great job.

Usually, I prefer fast-paced narratives that grab my attention from the first page with gripping action. But HEY, this narrative sounds like one I would like to follow. I mean, college boys!! Who wouldn't want to find out about the many cool escapades that these young minds will have? Let me get over on Amazon to grab a copy!

Indeed, the book title did not do this book so much justice but that's okay. Little doubts, youthful exuberance could have informed why they made such outfits without thinking of the consequences. Or perhaps, they didn't know they were attacking a set of people. In all, stories like this keeps people informed about how mutual respect is very important in managing both inter and intrapersonal relationships. It is informative. Great review. Congratulations on BOTD.

Although this sounds like a well thought out book, I am currently into books that are a little lighter in nature. I'm sure many people Will find this a great read tho. And I may delve into it in the future.

I might have said that this is not a book for me until I saw your comments on political correctness. Now I'm interested. It tends to get ridiculous.

This book sounds a little too slow pace for my liking. I dislike books that has racial issues involved so I will pass. Great job on the review though!

A Halloween outfit becomes a contentious issue. Sounds like a lot of commonplace things, yet to some, an innocent jest can be a cruel insult. When should one person show more deference, and when should the other person loosen up or let go? Those are challenging concerns, and the book is intriguing to read and consider. Congrats on BOTD.

The story-line is thought-provoking. I can't imagine how one Halloween party changed everything, when Ian made a controversial costume choice. That alone created a huge impact in the story-line.

From the review, the book is a well-thought piece reflecting the society. The youth want to party and be part of the party while the elder want to maintain the reputations they have been building.

A satyrical story but not just that, as the story of two college students offers food for thought about a number of important social and political issues that make this book serious. Thank you for your great review!

I read the first few pages of the book sample on Amazon. I totally understand what you said in your review about it being a slow start. It feels as if the author is laying a lot of ground work in the first few pages. Thank you for the review!

Trick or treat gone bad, I see. I wonder what Halloween costume caused all the brouhaha. I enjoy satire so I am very curious about this "horror" story.

A slow-paced novel is always a pain to read but when the plot twist arrives it all seems worth it! I like the mix this book contains humor, addresses socio-political issues, and is entertaining. The review was splendid! :handgestures-thumbupleft:
