This is an interesting book about environmental problems in a setting of science fiction and thriller, what an unusual combination. To add to the suspense, I'm interested to learn how the beast is connected to the problems generated by the chemical pollutants.

Your review of "Northern Umbrage: Pulp, Paper, Power, and Pollution" by Dennis Lorenz really highlights what makes the book special. You're right about how the story mixes an exciting plot with important environmental themes. It's great how the book makes you think about pollution and its effects, but still keeps you hooked with its adventure and mystery.
The characters seem to be another strong point. It sounds like they're not just interesting but also add a lot to the story. It seems like a great read for anyone who likes a good story with a meaningful message. So, I think your recommendation of this book to fans of action, mystery, and a bit of science fiction is spot on.

Awesome to read. The author intertwines environmental issues with a captivating narrative. The reader might love or despise the characters since they are well-developed. In addition, there is a subplot that emerges towards the conclusion to surprise you. All in all, a really pleasant read.

It's really amazing how the author combines a compelling story with environmental concerns. This is more than just a tale—it's a warning about the perils of pollution and how it impacts the entire planet. I think more should be written about the environment to increase environmental awareness and consciousness. I love that Dennis Lorenz has helped in doing that through his book and hope that the book change people's mindset and make them preserve nature so that our children can have a safe environment to grow up in.

There aren't many sci-fi books which incorporate environmental awareness education in their plot. This action thriller does, and I find it essential in this time in our planet's history.
