This sounds like a fun read. It is amusing to see some kids full of mischief. I would love to read about the adventure of these fourth graders. Great review!

I loved this review! I loved your emphasis on the way the author brought out the simplistic nature of childhood pleasures! The review feels so nostalgic and reminds of the Enid Blyton novels I used to read as a child! I will definitely check this book out!

There were a few black-and-white sketches in the book too. I reviewed the pdf version, and I think the hard-cover version may have additional illustrations. Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate your comment.

Your review is great. As fine as the story sounds, it makes me wish that people had such simple mindsets about relating with others; just like these children (our adorable protagonists). It is thing adults should think about. Racism would not exist if it were so.

I'm sure I would enjoy this. I like that the book is written about children in the 90's. I haven't come across a book with such a storyline.

Yes, the caring mindset of these children was sweet to see. Prejudice of any kind is a learned behavior.

The atmosphere of this book sounds absolutely adorable! Who wouldn’t want to live careless childhood days as described in this story?! I hope they take the time to do another round of editing and fix the grammatical errors. Thank you for the lovely review! ☀️😃

It really is a relaxing read. It's amazing how much times have changed since the summer vacation these children enjoyed in the 1940s. Thank you for your visit and your comment, Kirsi_78! :greetings-waveyellow:
