I checked out the first several pages, but since abusive situations turn me off, this isn't a book for me. Congrats to the author on his achievement and earning BOTD.

Cooper Landry had a tough childhood, but after serving in the Marines and working in the food industry, he decides to mine for gold in California. He meets Quinn Daltry, but learns she is dating the sheriff who is planning to kill him, so he leaves without knowing that Quinn was brutally beaten and left in a coma. Cooper goes to Belize with his friend Stan, but they find themselves in trouble. Meanwhile, Quinn wakes up and tries to find Cooper. Squeeze: A Romantic Adventure by Hiram Davis is a book filled with action, suspense, and violence, with well-developed characters and a smooth narrative. Cooper's and Stan's friendship is a highlight of the book.

This book sounds like a really good read. The combo of suspense with just a little bit of romance thrown in is right up my alley. I’m curious to know how the book ends!

Violence, sexual assault are among the most negative factors in life to be banished for a peaceful world. Good review of the book

Miscommunication has been the ruin of many friendships. I hope Quinn and Cooper find out the truth. Thank you for your excellent review.

I love it when books aren't one dimensional, and it sounds like this book is not only about romance, but also adventure and personal growth. I always root for a character from an abusive home, and I love reading about them facing their trauma and growing despite their obstacles. Congrats on book of the day!

What a great review, so much so that I am going to read the book just to find out if Cooper and Quinn end up together after all that they have endured. I am a bit worried about the domestic violence part, but luckily it sounds like it is just at the beginning of the book.

This sound very thrilling and a real turn-pager. Thank you for the review, very detailed but intriguing, and makes you want to read more. I have added the book to my shelf and can't wait to join Cooper in his journey.

I do enjoy mystery crime novels, but this book sounds chaotic with all the adventures! Thanks for your detailed review!

Oh my goodness, it sounds like the author has given Cooper one heck of a life! You do not often hear about sisters abusing their brothers, so this is a different twist. This sounds like an emotionally charged narrative. Thank you for the great review!

I am really sorry to say, but I knew I would pass this book after reading two first sentences of the review. Story centered on person enduring physical abuse from one family member and sexual abuse from another will never be something I am capable to stomach. I am not naive enough to proclaim that every kid should have a happy childhood, often circumstances prevent it, but this is simply overkill.

Cooper's life sounds fascinating and full of adventure. Even though his beginnings started off in a cruel and negative way, he still managed to accomplish and experience so much. The romantic aspect adds a thrill to the storyline that is much needed. Congrats on the BOTD!

I have sampled this book, and I do not like it. I agree with the review that there is a lot of violence and incestual sexual scenes - even in the small ten-page sample I had more than I could possibly bear. So exceptionally I am not promoting this book on social media as I cannot think of any audience in my social circle who may enjoy it.

This Cooper guy is toxic, albeit not by his own hand. That this is more than a romance book comes out in your review, particularly the aspect of suspense.
