Great and thoughtful review. I know a couple of people that live off the grid and would love this book. Stories about survival always entertain me.

Great review. Dystopian novels always grab my attention. It makes me wonder what I would do in each decision being made. The sample seems to be a slow read, which unfortunately deters me from picking it up.

I usually don't read books like this one so I'll pass on this book. It doesn't seem like a book that would interest me. Great job on the review!

I find these sort of books interesting as you always wonder how people would react in apocalyptic situations. Thanks for the review

This sounds overall like a nice solid book. I would not be interested in it due to the eroticism, so thanks for the heads-up!

Great review! This is not a book I would normally gravitate to but I have often thought about what I would do if something happened to the government and I had to survive. After reading your review it sounds like many people could relate to this book. I might check it out. Thank you!

I love your review and the author makes the story very believable. I especially like the range of emotions that Eileen goes through as the apocalypse continues. I also like that the story is set in rural Texas because you can picture the dust, the dirt, and the heat as these two characters struggle to survive.

Insightful review. I did read the sample opening pages and agree with the reviewer about the narrative structure. Using an introduction (or let's be honest - prologue) is an often maligned device, but it leads well into this story as the reviewer notes. Would I read this book? Perhaps not since it isn't my particular cup of tea, but this was an honest review and I enjoyed it.

Hmm I'm not sure about this one. Sometimes I think the dystopian genre is just too floodes. I'm a little hesitant to read this one mostly because I hate frustrating characters and plot!
