It must be difficult for a single father to find the time to do everything needed. It is interesting to hear a single father's perspective on being a single parent. Thank you for your informative review.

"The Snow That Never Fell" is a touching exploration of post-divorce family dynamics and the struggles of single fatherhood, encapsulated in the relatable story of Paul Peterson. Stone masterfully navigates the emotional terrain of divorce, parenting, and personal growth with a compelling narrative centered around a simple yet profound father-son project. The book's strengths lie in its honest portrayal of the characters' vulnerabilities and the challenges they face, making it a resonant read for anyone navigating similar life changes. With its smooth writing style and well-edited prose, this novel is a heartwarming recommendation for a reflective weekend read, particularly appealing to adult readers dealing with or interested in the complexities of divorce and single parenthood.

This is a very enlightening review! I sampled the episode of Paul describing the "swirling mass of blue-shirted boys" as a Sunday gathering of cub scouts as Paul lost sight of his son Michael and was thinking about the diminutive ways of how his children look down at him as the parent whilst he was unable to appreciate the numerous piercings and studs in his daughter's ear. Your review puts my early reading experience of this novel in perspective of Paul being a single parent amid divorce. It looks like an interesting read for family-oriented readers.

"The Snow That Never Fell" by Paul Steven Stone follows Paul Peterson, a divorced father of three, navigating life's challenges. Centered around a Cub Scout's Pinewood Derby, Paul's struggles with pride and past trauma unfold. Despite flaws, the book resonates with divorced individuals, offering relatable themes and well-crafted storytelling. A must read for people looking for a short read. This is a very informative and honest review. Thank you.

A great review of The Snow That Never Fell by Paul Steven Stone. I sampled three chapters of the book this morning and agreed that this would be an excellent book to read on a Sunday afternoon. The often humourous and profound detailed description of the Pinewood Derby racecar event was very entertaining, especially how human lives and hopes intertwine. Paul Steven Stone is a master at depicting how our childhood relationships with our parents can carry over into our adult lives and how difficult it is going through a divorce when children are involved.

Paul has a lot on his plate. He is divorced and a single father of three kids. His therapy sessions are not so helpful. His childhood was not great, as his father wasn’t affectionate, and he doesn’t discuss his childhood. He puts off his son’s project to build a racing car for the Pinewood Derby. With no time and no tools, he somehow manages to put together a car. Will they win the competition? Divorce can be draining on a couple as well as their children, and the implications of it are portrayed in this book. I enjoyed reading your review. It is crisp and straight to the point.

"The Snow That Never Fell,”a poignant, sometimes hilarious, tale of Paul Peterson’s struggle to surmount the myriad challenges of divorce and single fatherhood, plus a childhood scarred by his own father’s loveless neglect. Challenges that come to a head on a fateful day when Peterson brings his son Mickey to participate in a Cub Scout Father-Son Pinewood Derby. Written with humor, insight, and tonnages of heart, “The Snow That Never Fell” is a captivating story of a man whose need to be a “good” father is deeply rooted in his need to heal his own relationship with a father who could never show his love.
