One is immediately drawn in by the sample pages. It was intriguing to observe the landlady's distorted perception of the adolescent unwed mother. The sensitive handling of such a contentious topic is comforting. I hope Billy has a happy ending. Added to my TBR.

The content of this book is controversial in society today, but I enjoyed how the author wrote about it. Homosexuality and Christianity are two words that society today never wants to mix, but the author addressed this topic well and also raised some important, thought-provoking questions
- I am normally not interested in books that are controversial with any religion but this review has changed my mind. It was written well. Thank you.

It's great that Billy's foster parents led him to God and helped him to overcome depression and suicide notions. I'm very interested to read how the author dealt with homosexuality and Chritianity. This controversial subject in the hands of a skilled author sounds like a great addition to one's reading list.

Congrats on BOTD! How wonderful is it to learn that Billy found comfort in Christ, who gave him joy and serenity in place of melancholy and thoughts of suicide? Given the prevalence of homosexuality in today's world, this work is still relevant. It will be extremely beneficial to young individuals who are depressed and contemplating suicide.

Nice review!
The content of this book is controversial in society today, but I enjoyed how the author wrote about it. Homosexuality and Christianity are two words that society today never wants to mix, but the author addressed this topic well and also raised some important, thought-provoking questions. Everyone can be used by God, and God’s love is neither judgmental nor partial.
I couldn’t have said it better myself.
The only thing that I may not have liked about this book was that there was too much background information on some characters that did not play major roles in the book. This made the book seem a bit lengthy.
Unnecessary exposition in this manner can be annoying, but hopefully this doesn’t mean there’s too little background information on the major characters!

I believe this is a fictional book. However, the premise of the story is not far from reality. People do crazy things to proof a point. I pray this book serves as deterrent to folks who like to play God.

The book follows the journey of Billy Lymon - an orphan grappling with depression, his sexual identity, and ultimately finding solace in Christianity - which seems like a powerful premise ripe for raising important questions about judgment, acceptance and redemption.

Hanging Out with the Most High God by Gordon Bell is the story of Billy Lymon, who finds unique strength and peace after finding Jesus. As an orphan, hiding his homosexuality from people and his depression taking him to the verge of committing suicide, his foster aunt and uncle will turn his life around by introducing him to God. It sounds like an incredibly inspiring and motivational story. Congratulations on the BOTD!
