It is obvious you have read some of this author's writings before like by reading this you are meeting up with a good friend. The sample I read was good, but not nearly long enough to truly get a sense of what the rest of the book will be like, so I thank you for your descriptive and informational review. I would like to see the characters and their relationships develop. I will have to put this one on my to read list.

Excellent review! I've read another book by Coles. While the same medical, law topics arise there as well, this one sounds more thrilling. I'll give it a try then :)

Thank you for the in-depth review. The book looks really appealing with its well-shaped characters, engaging plot and Cole's thorough knowledge of all the areas the action takes place. I also admire Cole's short fiction. His writing style and language are simply superb.

This book seems like a very intriguing read. I'm really curious as to what event led Luke and Lucy to get together and eventually married. It's very interesting how the author combined medicine, law, and religion into his book. I'm glad that he did his research so well on each field. That should make the book all the more realistic to read, at least in that aspect. The grammar errors seem to be minimal, so I'm sure they won't be much of a distraction to me.

I found this nice sentence in the review that Marriage is not just built on love, but also on history and need. it seems like a family story which depicts the relationships at different times between Luke an A.J. MacMiel family.
life is only knowing the unknown, we can do this by reading books easily- Online book club is a great place for this. This is what I believe.

I may enjoy reading this book. I don't always like reading about the "upper crust" of society but with characters like Luke to sort of temper the lot, it might be okay!

Great review! This sounds like a really good book. After reading the free sample I am very intrigued and would love to read more. Mysteries are some of my favorite books.

Title sound like something right out of help yourself category, but don't be fooled. Many good reviews and great recommendations about this author, through I am still undecided about current book, because I don't like medical mysteries.

It is hard for me to decide how I feel on this one because it has such a glowing review but the story does not sound very engaging to me. I also hate the cover, but they always say do not judge a book by its cover.

I warmly wish I could agree with you on this review; I did a review of it as well, and while the author is truly skilled, and he does paint a rather visceral picture, I found this book, and his characters, superficial and buying into male/female tropes that irritated me to no end.

I read the sample, and your review helped me get a little bit more insight into what the book entails. It sounds like it is neatly written with few errors but explores many topics with diverse characters. I feel like his writing capitalizes on dialogue which helps lay the foundation of the story. Thank you for this review. I enjoyed it.

Religious establishments can be a tough topic to tackle, so adding in the medical and educational aspects should make for an interesting read. Thanks for the excellent review.

Really conflicting emotions. Leaving everything behind could not have been easy for her and I wonder how the husband must have felt. Unrequited love is a painful thing especially after the Lucy had sacrificed her family. This should be interesting

Not only is this a compelling legal drama but it also tackles medical and religious issues too. It's great to know that Coles did his homework in all three fields, also portraying the complexities of human relationships and the many things a marriage may be based on besides love.
This post was brought to you by the word "specifically".

Interesting review that covers the story outline well. I have started reading this book, and feel that Mr Coles descriptive abilities would be better served away from the medical/lawyers/religious aspects, may make for good selling, but left me cold.
