I just loved Joey and could relate to his struggles just to achieve his dream to be a musician throughout his ordeals and odds. I felt so connected with him seeing him struggle as an imperfectionist and how the story flows with no specific villain like some typical books these days. Kuddos to the writer for scripting such a flawless and wonderful story.

As a music lover myself, I think this book sounds like an amazing and emotional read. I love that we get to follow Joey’s journey from a young age as it really allows us to experience all his obstacles with him. I'm so curious to find out what happens in the end. Thank you for the recommendation!

While there likely aren't many people who have dreamed of becoming a great trombonist, millions have been undoubtedly saved by the healing and transformative effects of music. I look forward to experiencing the harmonious plot of this tale.

This book tries to explain to readers the struggles kids have in abusive homes. I feel the way joey had to struggle to get his way in life. He is truly strong to follow his dreams. Nicely composed review showing key reasons why I should select this piece. :tiphat:

A coming of age story about a young boy. Who wishes to be a musician against the wishes of his abusive father. He was really "saved by his music" from the horrors of life. It is very inspiring that he managed to be a great musician after all. Congrats on BOTD!!

A type of story that is true for many. From the review I would suggest the book to young people struggling in relationships and trying to overcome circumstances by finding their purpose in life. It seems like a book with a few life lessons that readers can easily relate with.

On the basis of what I read through in the story, it's quite captivating and tunes my imagination. It plunges me in the real life situation of What the boy was going through. And from the Review of the book about the perfections of the book, I feel I should finish the whole story. And it's must get for me.
Thanks for the a succulent review.

Music often gives an out of this world experience when one desperately seeks a reprieve. I find this book interesting and I'd like to read it some time.
