Almost everyone would agree that most things don't go as planned. And in the case of Doris, daydreaming for revenge is very understandable. Would love to read this book for me. Congrats on BOTD.

Wow, poor Doris no wonder she is so depressed she has lost everything she loves, her husband, best friend, unborn baby and home. I cannot even begin to understand how anyone can pull themselves up from this but I am looking forward to finding out how Louise Worthington deals with Doris' depression and moving on. Thank you for the great review!

It sounds like Doris has had a very rough go of it. I would be very interested in reading this book to see how she moves forward with her life. Great review!

This sounds like a very interesting and relatable book. Doris's vengeful daydreams sound true to life and intrigue me. Poor thing, suffering a miscarriage on top of everything else! I hope that she is able to overcome all of the trials in her life by the ending of the story. I'm adding this book to my to be read pile immediately.

The utter betrayal and callous disregard for Doris are typical in divorce. Picking up the pieces afterward is something I can relate to, including her feelings of depression and thoughts of revenge. I am definitely interested in this BOTD. Great review.

“. . . so many unanswered questions after the reason behind John's sudden departure was revealed . . . the author was able to create a story that felt true-to-life. We don't always understand the reasons behind people's actions and behaviours.”
This caught my attention. I look forward to reading this story because of your review.

The story seems good at first glance. Though the matter of depression has not resolved in this story that makes this story bit frustrating. This sometimes leaves the readers to adjust with the circumstances they are fighting with.

I am not sure how I feel about those unanswered questions. It is true that it is a reflection of real life, but in a novel I like things to make sense. Perhaps it is something I should give a try, since the story about the divorce and depression rings very true.

Doris' doctor tells her that events themselves are not the cause of mental ill-health. Rather, the way we interpret those events makes the difference. And that is something I plan on remembering and using in my own life going forward.
- Me too. It's quite a coincidence that this review had to come into my life just as I was experiencing a similar situation. Therefore, this time, I will interpret it in a different way, more positive, so as not to get depressed, but instead it's opposite. Wow! I feel better already. Thank you for the review, I really needed it.

In this book Distorted Days, we meet pregnant Doris, whose husband leaves unexpectedly during the week of Christmas to leave her with her best friend. The greatest betrayal. We meet Colleen and Andy as Doris moves forward one day at a time. Colleen and Andy have a very different perspective on a difficult reality than Doris does.
A realistic perspective, this narration compares how people accept life and respond to occurrences in general.
The novel skillfully maintains an upbeat and positive tone while recounting life's sorrows, losses, and attempts. I really enjoyed this book. Thanks for the review and congratulations to the author on BOTD.

It is not strange or a new thing with cases like Doris's own where a relationship will end unannounced. However Doris has to learn from bitter relationship like her's and improve for better days ahead. l love fiction book and this one has alot of lessons in it. Great review.

The book sounds interesting. It is a fictional story but in so many ways it seems to be true-to-life and you can learn a lot about how to fight depression and how to pick yourself up again after life's many blows. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!
