Intriguing! I wonder what conclusion I will come to, if John has gone mad or if he had an enlightening experience. Or perhaps a bit of both. I am going to add this one to my shelves!

This sounds really funny. I can imagine Jim Carrey playing the part of John. Thanks for your review.

Did John really have an authentic spiritual experience on the “magic bed” or did he just go mad?
Is there a difference? I mean, what could be a mystical experience for a Wiccan would be considered madness by a fundamentalist Christian.
You pose very interesting questions. I can't wait to read this book! Thank you!

I'm not sure if I'll enjoy this book. However, the main character sounds interesting, and I'm sure the book will be a great fit for fans of absurdist fiction.

What an unusual and thought provoking topic to write a book about! Its good to question what is real, and what is only so because of our own perceptions. Some beliefs are as farcical as becoming a pastor for the church of the Godhead of the Bed. It sound like a book worth reading.

Great review. Thank you for the insights. I really wasn’t expecting a humorous take on spiritual awakening. This should be a refreshing read. Did John experience an enlightenment, or did he go mad? I love that it’s up to readers’ interpretation.

This is a strange fiction story of a man who has a religious epiphany while on a magic bed. It is an absurdist fantasy that really makes you think. Congratulations to the author for being chosen as BOTD. Thanks to the reviewer. I thoroughly enjoyed your review.

I can't say I've ever heard of the absurdist fiction genre. I enjoyed the review very much, and think I'll check this book out just for the humor of it alone. :)

"On the Steps of St. Dymphna" by Tony Rocco - Fiction: very funny and very readable with authentic characters. John has a mystical experience lying on a bed which he eventually purchases from the store. The bed changes him and he becomes Pastor John ministering to the homeless... Thanks for the great review.

I'm not sure if the absurdist fiction genre is for me. The book does sound intriguing and John as a character gives the book such an interesting dimension. Did John turn mad or did his life get alterered after the magic bed encounter?
