My first instinct is to pass this book by as dealing with child endangerment is a tough subject for me to deal with but after reading your review, I can see that it would be good to read it to see the different viewpoints of these social issues. Thanks for your informative review.

Thanks for your excellent summary. I think it sounds like a book that could appeal to anyone with an open mind who can handle an emotional rollercoaster. I’m really interested in how the author writes from different controversial points of view. I love that the characters are partly based on real characters as well. Sounds like a fun read! Thanks for your review.

I found this book disturbing and the fact that the author is a University Professor dangerous. The book glorifies illegal and downright criminal activities while insulting and vilifying d decency, moral standards, law and order. The fact that so many people praise it scares me to the core

Interesting and inspiring, but unfortunately connected to some heavy topics, in some cases personally to me. I would like to avoid such matters and as such will have to pass this book. Please, no offense, and most sincere congratulations on the BOTD!

A child can change lives. It seems Brianna will bring a change in Alicia's life.

Thank you for the great review.

I liked the fact that the zany characters of the story are based on real life people and their life events. Also, as mentioned, the story deals with controversial issues of today's era which would definitely make this book a interesting read for many people. The review totally compels one to go give this book a try. Thanks.

What an exciting storyline and cast of characters. Even though there are a lot of controversial subjects, I think this book will be very successful because of the true stories in it. Great review!

A great book, I agree with you. The author shows a good command of the language that characters of different backgrounds speak. But then again, he is a teacher.
What I feel differently from you is what you call "cliffhangers". Again, seen from a teacher's perspective, it is a way to stimulate the readers' imagination and generate a lot of discussions in book clubs.

This seems like a book I would be interested in. Not just because ofbmy work in child protection, but the vast ground it covers...even one of my peeves, corruption.

I just cannot fathom just abandoning a baby - especially now, with the Safe Haven law in effect - so this book seems quite entrancing. I also love how the title turns the "No Child Left Behind" mantra on its ear. Thanks for this!

Alicia sounds like a really interesting character. It must have been hard being an immigrant. Good job with the review.

However offensive some thematic concerns may be, their realistic bit is what makes the book reflective of the community. Great review.

A Child Left Behind ~ is a well written book which tells a real-life story of Little Brianna and her adapted parent. The very set story reveals the issues which plagues society today. Children become abandoned, aborted, abused, and adopted.

In a real life situations, a rather touching topic that one will never stop hearing or reading about, as life will continue to go on.
