I agree the subjects of the poetry are relatable today. Isn't it interesting that growing up in the 60s is not so different from what we experience today?

Being able to portray the theme of racial discrimination, hate crimes, religion, sexual orientation, child abuse, and sexism in a poem sounds amazing. I wish to congratulate the author on being the #BOTD!

Poetry isn't normally my thing but if the author favours a more simple style it may be a good place for me to start. Thanks for the review!

A very relatable poem on the difficult transition from adolescence to adulthood. The hormonal, physical and emotional period in a person's life, which needs careful handling by parents or guardians. In the same vien, such individuals who enter the army during their late teens or early adulthood sometimes struggle with physical and mental demands of the training, but upon encourage ment from superiors, these young trainees often manage to refocus their minds and come out strong, although others drop out to pursue other interest. Well plotted poems

I'm not a fan of poems and I can't really say I enjoyed this book but I did understand the author when it came to explaining her growth and certain things about life.

I admire your openness and objectivity in reviewing this book. I have picked a lot of insights and encouragements from the review of this book, especially the need for collective actions towards making ourselves and the world better. I hope the author will address the negative concerns noted in this review.

Am not a big fan of poems and poetry in general mainly because I don't know how to interpret poems. So this is just not the book for me. Congrats on the book of the day

While the author mostly explores things from her perspective, the first aspect of the book I like is how relatable it is.
Congratulations on BOTD. Thank you, your review explained the nature of the poems well and highlighted that readers will be able to identify with many of the issues. It's good to know the poetry can raise awareness of issues such as discrimination.

This is a memoir about the author’s real-life experiences, from growing up in the 1960s to recent times. Congratulation BOTD!

Reading poems is not really something I fancy so I found it difficult to understand this book. I don't enjoy reading poems as I find them hard to understand in general but I was able to grab just a few things that the author was trying to pass through.

I'm usually not a fan of poetry though, but I do like it when writers uses simple language when writing poetry because it helps people a lot for understanding

It sounds like the author covers a lot of issues in her poems! From the fear of growing up to sexual orientation and onward to racial discrimination and current world issues! I am not a poetry fan so I probably won't read this book but I believe poetry lovers will enjoy it! Thanks for the great review!

Sounds like a good book. I love poems that are relatable and that one can always refer to concerning some area of their life. Too bad it has all those errors. I agree if fixed it could be one of those unforgettable books. Great review!
