I remember when I was a kid and my mom sent me out to play. I didn’t really enjoy the outdoors, but my friends did and they convinced me. We had lots of fun and probably did some things no one wants to know about.

:D Ahh, the days when you were out playing all day long, and when you got home, your mom asked what you did all day. Your answer: "nothing."

A book that features different days brings new stories every day with different experiences. Thanks for the wonderful review.

Yes, these stories reminded me of childhood days when we spent all day playing outside, staying "out of the grown-ups' hair." :) Thank you for your visit and your comment.

I think it would be good to go down memory lane, it sounds like this is a book I would like to read. To see what other children were up to in the time when children were still sent outside to play.

It was refreshing to read these simple, innocent summertime stories. I was pleasantly surprise by how entertaining they were. Thank you for stopping by for a visit. I appreciate your comment.

When i read the book, I thought it was an interesting. But I think when it came to the "grammatical errors" I think those were actually intentional. Imo I think they were suppose to reflect the dialect of how African Americans talked during that time in the 1940s
