Good review! I am a football-loving-female, so I really enjoyed the sample on Amazon, with the description of the game. And I found it to be fitting for what likely happened in the 60's, especially in Montana. I have family there, actually near Bozeman, so it was fun to read something that was possibly close to the truth of what happened when my mom was in the area.

One thing I love about this website is that the reviews are really well thought out! OK, I also like that it's expanding my reading list in different genres as well. This sounds like a really good book.

I enjoyed reading your thorough review. I like historical fiction with distinct settings and the culture of the era. It's interesting that the story takes place over a short period of time. Off to read the sample!

This sounds like an interesting story of small town life. Thanks for the detailed and insightful review.

You well described it. It seems so interesting, Like watching a movie. Thanks Alynn!
However, some will criticize it for being sexy.

Teenage love story and adventure is not my cup of tea. But the review and the sample pages are so inviting because they promise a unique twist of the plot. Congratulations!

I read the sample parts of the book that were available and found the story somewhat interesting, but I would not have considered reading the book. I had problems with the underlying "feel" of the book. I felt like the behavior of the characters was not true to form. However, after reading your review and learning that the story takes place on an evening in 1960, there is a different atmosphere about it and I am more curious about how things end up between the main characters and that older guy that pursues Deanie. (Whom I call "Sleaze Bag".) I am going to add it to my reading list.

This review is very well written and gives the appropriate amount of details and plot to make a reader interested in the story. In the review, the writer said the novel had a few grammatical errors. Normally, that would distract me from a story. I agree with the writer that if the plot is really engaging, than a few errors can be overlooked. Based on this review, I am interested in reading the novel.

This was an excellent review. It was very thorough and straight out. It's interesting how people can tell the time just by their forms of slang.

Hilarious, with lots of twists and turns. I fact, one could hardly tell what would happen next with the Belle's Six or with the Park County High Rangers back at school. Besides, Brian, it appears may have to up his game because Deanie appears a little 'decided'. But it is a good read, Nardella
