chose the book for the character who is deaf. Having worked in the field of deaf education for 45 years, I enjoy seeing how the character is defined in literature. Unfortunately, displaying a character who is a life time signer to a an adult implanted person who has with complete success with her implant in a very short time is so dangerously misleading. Her speech development, language structure, ability to hear and enjoy music .......too much too fast.
The child character was a delight to imagine.

The story explores the life situations relying on political diagnosis as spotted by the author. When you have a look at the argument about the civil war, the writer brings a near picture to understand where the stand is. For instance, the author quotes: “In very general terms, I would try to make Americans aware of what’s actually happening so they can decide for themselves if this minority is what they want to support.” “Are you suggesting they are led astray?” “Yes, by rhetoric that claims ultra-conservatives will save our economy when they really mean they will save the current distribution of wealth, which in turn means at the expense of middle-class Americans and those below the poverty line. In conjunction with that, they use massive funding to buy elections, slander opponents and intimidate valid candidates from even running for office. '' And that 's where the theme 'You speak for me now' comes into play.

It is a great book. The protagonists are different and they complement each other. They can work together to accomplish more, using their own unique skills.
Book allow you to fully explore a topic and immerse yourself in a deeper way than most media today. Mark Zuckerberg.

From the review, what is captivating and really grabbed my attention is the protagonists, Emma and John, having contrasting personalities and becoming couples. It will be amazing to see how they compliment each other. I'll sure add this one to my next-to-read list. Congratulations to the BOTD author!

The book seems to be a real page turner with a heavy emotional burden. It deals with serious issues based on discrimination and politics. It will be interesting to see how Johnny and Emma handle their problems. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Congrats on BOTD!
The subject matter of Sandy Graham's "You Speak for Me Now" is the married couple Johnny McEwan and Emma, who are extroverts and introverts, whose lives are turned upside down by political differences. This book's author skillfully weaves together themes of politics, marriage, love, and family.

I really enjoyed your review. It made me want to read this book, so it's definitely going on my list of books to read. You mentioned that the book makes the reader rethink the role of government, the concept of governance, and the power held by people who can vote. This statement really caught my attention, especially considering today's political circumstances. I found it very intriguing and wanted to read the book to see what the author writes. Thank you for sharing your thoughts about the book.

"You Speak for Me Now" by using Sandy Graham is a effective and well timed collection of poetry that gives voice to the unspoken feelings and reports of marginalized individuals. Graham's words are uncooked, poignant, and deeply empathetic, inviting readers to step into the shoes of these often silenced with the aid of society. Furthermore, the poems in this collection offer various views and shed mild on various crucial social issues. Graham fearlessly explores topics including racism, sexism, and prejudice, tough readers to confront their very own biases and recognize the stories of others.

Nice review! It’s been awesome to see this increase deaf representation in different types of media, but combined with such a classic trope (opposites attract) that goes into an even bigger plot with fairly high stakes? Now, that’s interesting!

Congrats to the author on BOTD!

Thank you for your great review of Sandy Graham's novel You Speak for Me Now.
After reading the review and sample pages, I'm planning to read this thought-provoking novel, with strong characters, compelling themes -- deafness, racism, freedom of independent thinking, and family love and responsibilities.
