'Running Between Trees, written by Gogo C. Okeke, is a 206-page fictional novel featuring career, relationships, autism, country similarities and differences, and family.'
I'm interested in the themes this book offer.

Thank you for such a thorough and engaging review! It’s wonderful to hear how Running Between Trees captures the experience of navigating life between two cultures while also addressing important topics like autism and family dynamics. I’m particularly intrigued by the use of Nigerian words in dialogues and how that added authenticity and humor to the story—Aunty Zubaida’s conversation about Nigerian words spoken in twos sounds like such a relatable and charming moment. It’s also inspiring to see how Samira’s journey highlights the importance of meaningful relationships, even as she grapples with uncertainty in her career and love life. Your mention of her aunt living vibrantly despite sickle cell disease and Midowa’s supportiveness adds depth to the story’s portrayal of resilience and connection. Based on your glowing review, I’m convinced this book is not only well-written but also impactful. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

The review of today's BOTD, "Running between trees" by Gogo C. Okeke is a compelling story that highlights on love, relationship, and career choice. I'm drawn to how the characters of Samira, Midowu, and other major characters intertwine within the story.

Yvette Anih writes an exclusive story about an American immigrant Samira and her Journey at an Autism centre. From the review, this is an interesting story that covers life both in America and Nigeria. Am anxious to follow up on Samira's story.

I have always wanted to meet an autistic person. I hear how smart they are and all of that. I am interested in Sam'ira's story and experience working with them in such a close-knit. Congratulations on BOTD.

Definitely not my cup of tea, because all the topics raised in it, starting from autistic children and ending with immigration, just like any other health or social issues, awaken depression in me, therefore, I try to avoid them as often as it is possible. Sorry and congrats with BOTD!

I enjoyed that this review touched on so many different aspects of the book ~ the characters, dialogue, plot, etc. It was clear that this reviewer enjoyed this book for many different reasons, and not simply for the story itself.

It would be interesting to learn how autism is viewed in Nigeria compared to America. Thank you for your review.

This story is a novel about a young Nigerian woman, Samira who is a psychologist. She volunteers at a center for autistic children. She has been seeing a man, Midowa for 6 years. She needs to get a job because she is 24 years old, and still lives at home with her parents. She has no job prospects. She doesn't know what to do. I believe this is a very interesting book. It is very well written. I have only read the sampler.

Thank you for your review. I read the sample. I enjoyed writing about Samira's life and her friends and family. Her conversations with her professor were interesting. I liked reading about her culture in Nigeria and her thoughts about America vs. her country. Her relationship with her boyfriend, although long-distance, was sweet to read.

I like that the book "Running Between Trees" by Gogo C. Okeke centers on a topic that is highly looked down on in places like Nigeria because they do not understand how this issue of autism affects the common patient. Congratulations on the book of the day.

The characterization and the life experiences seem like a journal of reflection in this book. Good review, though I am not sure if this book is what i would normally read.
