"A Reckoning of Wolves" by Judy Higgins follows Dr. Victor Lawson, who travels to Saudi Arabia after a heartbreak, hoping to move on. The gripping opening scene immediately draws you in, making you eager to discover what unfolds next. This book is definitely worth reading, from the few chapters I sampled. Congratulations on being BOTD!

Great review! This sounds like it is going to be a great mystery story. I am looking forward to finishing the rest of the book to find out what kind of trouble Dr. Lawson gets himself into.

From the review, all I can grasp is that the book is about heartbreak, hesitation to move on, human rights, beliefs, freedom and a lot of mystery. But overall the book looks like a good read.

This book appears to be a masterful blend of mystery and cultural exploration, offering readers not only an engaging plot but also an insightful look into the complexities of freedom and human rights in different cultural contexts. Dr. Lawson's journey to Saudi Arabia, following a personal heartbreak, serves as the perfect backdrop for a story that challenges his—and the readers'—perceptions of freedom and morality. Nice review.

We often don't appreciate things like human rights, we take it for granted. It's easy to land in trouble in a foreign country, especially if the culture is very different to one's own. Mystery and intrigue holds great appeal! Thank you for your informative review.

One aspect I really appreciated about this review is how you emphasized the perfect blend of themes in the book. Your note that the events, especially the scene at the border, are both realistic and relatable underscores the book's ability to educate and enlighten readers about the complexities of freedom.

Dr Lawson was invited to Saudi by Princess Safiyyah to calm down the after suffering a heart break from Sandra.
Dr Lawson belief in human rights and the freedom of expression enjoyed by most Americans would be tested, leaving him questioning everything he has ever known.
The book also educates and enlightens us on what goes beyond our comfort zones of freedom.
