With well-developed characters and lots of humor, this book sounds like it could be very fun to read. I’m not sure I’d be a fan of the innuendos but the boys’ shenanigans sound very amusing. Thanks for the review!

It does sound like an entertaining read. The characters are well-developed, and incorporating serious issues in satirical humour is a brilliant idea as well. Thank you for the amazing review and congratulations to the author for it.

It's funny that two school boys, Bobby and Terry, discuss some tough topics out in the playground. I would love to hear those conversations. I like that the author also includes some family problems, making the two more relatable and have more dimension. It's great to hear that this book made you laugh out loud. A homemade women's perfume? Pretending to be super religious to gain a girl's attention? Sounds very silly! Describing each character with distinct personalities is an important part to any story and I'm glad the author does it well here. I can see incorporating serious issues would give this satire more depths, so it's great to hear the author did this well, too. I'm glad you enjoyed this well-edited book. Thanks for sharing!

Sounds like the boys had a really good time despite their troubles. Humor is a great tool for coping. And it's very admirable of them to try and solve so many issues. Thanks for the review.

I have enjoyed the other Tara Basi novels I have read. This one sounds a little different (less sci-fi fantasy) but equally excellent. I can't wait to pick it up. Lucky you getting to do the official review.

Thanks for the awesome review! The title of the book had me thinking I would not be interested in it, but your review certainly changed my mind! I love books with humor and the antics of the two boys in this one sounds like fun! Especially the perfume for the women! Can't wait to read this book.

The plot of the book sounds exciting. Global warming, politics, women's troubles are not easy topics even for an adults to discuss and to solve and in the book it is children who are engaged in these kinds of problems. Judging by the title of the book - Masterminders - I believe the children, Bobby and Terry, did come to some conclusions and, probably, solutions in their own way. It will be interesting to read this book. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

Some schoolboy craziness here, that reminds me of comic magazines from Britain during the fifties and the sixties that I used to read. The characters sound larger than life, just like the comic characters and i will be interested to see how the adults are portrayed. It sounds very amusing to me, only the element of tragedy seems to add a touch of realism. The review was well written and touched on a number of issues in the book without giving anything away.
