I think anyone one who loses their husband, home, baby and best friend at the same time would suffer from depression. This book sounds intriguing. Great review!

This sounds like a relatable drama, and probably many people can relate to Doris. A husband leaving because of another woman is one thing, but that this woman just so happens to be Doris' friend! No wonder she falls into depression. I am looking forward finding out how she copes with the situation in the end. Thanks for the interesting review!

This fiction book has so many literary elements that will appeal to lovers of literature. I wonder how Doris is able to pick herself up after the divorce, depression and every other obstacle in her life. I also appreciate the impeccably well edited style of the book. Congrats on the BOTD!

Havent read this but it seems that relevant nowadays. Divorce, betrayal and depression are the key things present in this book. But what i love to see is how doris struggle and rise above her situation. Good job author on depicting this kind of plot

A realistic portrayal of a woman betrayed by her husband seems heart-touching.

I really appreciate how the author approached the issue of depression. Doris' doctor tells her that events themselves are not the cause of mental ill-health. Rather, the way we interpret those events makes the difference. And that is something I plan on remembering and using in my own life going forward.

It's nice when fiction can leave you with something to use in real life. This was a great review; it has definitely made me curious about the book. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

I feel so sad for Doris. This is such an interesting story. I’d like to see if Doris was able to face life and if her ex husband regretted his mean actions.

I adore the style variation you described, and it does seem appropriate for describing even one dream, let alone multiple. Great review.

I'm so intrigued by the storyline and the author's way of telling it. I can't wait to find out how Doris picks up the pieces of her life. I'll definitely check this book out.

Distorted days tells the story of how Doris went through depression after her husband divorced her and left her for her friend. A story of betrayal and tenacity.

The narrative of relationship sensitivity and the impact of betrayal makes it an interesting read. One thing which I relate with the reviewer and doctor is that we have complete control over the interpretation and response. Excellent review.

Betrayal from those you love is a very painful experience. It can either break or make you as they say. I can imagine the pain Doris went through in the story. Great review.

Realistic characters are another attribute that can make the reader appreciate a book. This is because this helps you think of them as more human. It's natural for Doris to think of revenge. Great review.

Reading the sample of this book got hooked. I like that this book touched on life from a normal life perspective-even though it's a fiction book. How we respond to challenges are far more important than the challenges themselves, that's a lesson I think readers will get from this book. I just got a free copy of "Distorted Days" to read, thanks to BODT and I can't wait to read it.

As someone who has been living with depression for many years and became an advocate for removing the stigma around mental illness, I was happy to read that depression is handled in a convincing way in this book. The advice that Doris receives from her doctor is wonderful, as doctors in real life are often way too willing to describe meds for depression without taking other factors in the patient's life into account.
