Another way of viewing the story is as emotionally draining, not just emotionally gripping. However, since I've only read about a quarter of it, I will defer to your review and read it because of the topics you say that it covers.

With themes like sexual and physical abuse, motherhood, animal kingdom, friendship, and family, it sounds like this book, which merges the human and animal world, is very complex and rewarding.

Wow, this sounds really refreshing – it is definitely not often seen when an author weaves in heavy topics like abuse with a perspective from the animal world. Thanks for the review!

This books sounds very nice. Also, I like how you describe the female protagonists are portrayed. Something that also appeals to me is the mixture between the animal and human. Maybe this also helps English-language learners to improve. I might try it with some of my students. Thanks for your review.

Thanks for the great review! This book sounds interesting. I love when an author can describe things in a way that lets you feel as if you are part of the story! However, I won't be reading this one due to the erotic content and vulgarity. That is a real turn-off for me. I am still curious about what happened to Hannah, though!

The author has done a commendable job in relaying the human-animal world relation. That the story flows so easily and encompasses sensitive themes without overwhelming the reader is intriguing. I can't imagine Maggie's pain at losing Hannah. I can't wait to read the book. Thank you for such a wonderful review.

I love emotionally gripping stories, so this book might be right up my alley. I also like the fact the story focuses on both the human and the animal world. I wonder what happened to Maggie's daughter Hannah and what is Princess Kazi's role in the whole affair. Thanks for a great review!

A fictional story that highlights the events taking place in two different worlds, that is, the human world and the animal world seems entertaining. I would love to read this book sometime later on.

This sounds like an interesting take on human-animal kingdoms interacting. I'm curious how Hannah communicates with the lioness and, as this is told from Maggie's point of view, how the story is then communicated to her and the reader. Thanks for the review!
